Primer was the first of Rockapella’s two special limited-edition
CDs, released independently in 1995. The group recorded the album live in studio
over the course of two days at Sonalyst Studios in Connecticut. All the songs
on the album appear on one or more of their other albums, with the exception of
the bonus track, "Shambala," which was recorded previous to the Sonalyst
sessions.
