Rockapella did several events for the failed Dukakis presidential campaign, and
I was truly bummed when Bush whupped him. I'll never forgive CNN's Bernard
Shaw for posing the death penalty question that torpedoed Dukakis' election
hopes: Governor, if your own wife and daughter were brutally raped and
murdered, would you be in favor of the death penalty for the convicted killer?
Dukakis' corporate-speak response was so devoid of emotion that he came
across as an utter iceman, and he never recovered. (1988)
